After JNLP Slave started successfully, I clicked on "File > Install as a service".
The reaction was a message sayinig "Root folder 'C:\.jenkins' does not exist on slave node.".
I then created that folder manually, and tried again – which correctly installed the windows service.
It seems there is a bug: The JNLP slave does not try to create that folder.
