    Description

      Once the hudson servers got restarted, the Project-base stragegy will become
      Matrix-base security, even it is still ProjectMatrixAuthorizationStrategy in the
      config.xml.

            I'm seeing the same symptoms as well. I got project based security working on a
            test project, but when Hudson is restarted (running with Winstone) I'm back to
            global matrix. It appears to preserve all my security settings, though so I can
            still get access to the server the way it was configured, but obviously
            projects are not individually secured anymore.

            If I go ahead and save the global configuration again for some reason (without
            changing the security settings), the config.xml is also changed back to global
            matrix.

            I've raised the priority 'cause it is important to have project based auth...
            really is a big problem for a company with multiple projects.

            The ticket #2305 already exixts, more users have voted on it and it haves higher
            priority, so, changed it to duplicate. Vote on #2305
