.openshift directory gets over-written with default value

      The .openshift directory default value is /src/test/resources/openshift/ (specified in the config.jelly file I think). Whilst I can modify this value via the Jenkins UI, each time I subsequently return to the configuration page for the Jenkins job in question, the .openshift field has been reset to /src/test/resources/openshift/. If I then save some change to the Jenkins job configuration, the change I previously made to the .openshift directory gets overwritten with the default value.
