Version Number plugin fails with Java 8

      jenkins-1.613 versionnumber-1.5

      After updating to version 1.5 and using Java 8 as the build environment JDK the plugin started to throw null pointer exception. Downgrading to 1.4.1 fixed the problem.

      ERROR: java.lang.NullPointerException

      Version 1.5 worked fine when using Java 7.
