On jenkins if we trigger build through API then it return Queue number like http://localhost:8080/queue/item/2/ that we can track further.

Now if we restart Jenkins Windows service then Queue number will reset and start from number 1 again, so is there any possibility that queue number can preserve even though Jenkins server got restart.

We had tried https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Persistent+Build+Queue+Plugin plugin and enabled that plugin for 1 job and see the result but still queue number are getting reset and start from number 1 again.

Is there any possibility where queue number can be preserved after Jenkins server getting restarted.
