Today Jenkins provides feature where click on the link to abort the build easily. In robust environment where 100+ different application builds are running parallel and can view the status. Lot of user login common Jenkins console and kick start their respective builds. But chances accidentally click the others build process and click the abort link which causes others builds abort.
Is there any prompt message or provide restrictions where the build can be aborted only by the same user who initiated the build or proper prompt message with application name or project name, etc which will help the user to not to proceed ???
HAPPENING CASE:
The user Tom logged into Jenkins and kick start the build application cap-inventory. After 5 mins, another user Jim logged into Jenkins and kick start the build application cop-biller. After 30 mins, Tom wanted to abort his build, since the application names are identical, it is very hard to notice and Tom go head and abort the build application cop-biller.
WORST CASE:
A user kick started the build which will take 10 hours to complete the build. Now another user accidently clicked the abort link since their both the project names likely similar. Off course it is human error, however the system should have a restriction or prompt message before proceed.
