It would be great to be able to choose what information from commit messages is included into notification messages.

One may want to include timestamps, diffstats, etc.
Or, conversely, omit some information like commit titles or authors.

So, instead of having a checkbox now, we can start with a simple drop-down list with options like "no commit info", "commit list with authors", and "commit list with authors and title".
