Running org.jenkins-ci.main:jenkins-war:1.625.2 with docker-common plugin version 1.2 I see that the auth string that is placed in .docker/config.json is incorrect regardless of what I put in the password field. I believe that this is because Jenkins no longer does a simple base64 hash when it stores the passwords? It looks like it is putting some kind of sha256 hash in the auth field which isn't what the docker hub registry is expecting for private repos. I can provide any additional information that you think would be helpful. Currently im just placing the config manually to work around the issue.
