When using the clone from VM or Deploy from template there is no option to leave the new VM host powered off. If you clone from a generic template you might want to change MAC-addresses, CPUs what ever before you power the host for the first time.

Our template host gets a specific IP address from DHCP and a specific host-name. When it powers up for the first time it starts getting packages from Puppet. Currently it powers up with a random IP and hostname and we have to add a power off step and then change the MAC-adress and power it up again.
