It would be interesting to intercept some job lifcycle event for launch some
      batch task.
There is the release plugin, but event are juste on a release. I think it would
be nice to have event on the startup of job, etc ..

[JENKINS-3420] Event on life cycle of job

Can you elaborate a bit more on use case?
That would help me understand this better.

I will try to explain my use case, but finnaly I have write a custom plugin.

Sometimes, before lunch the SCM dump, I need to change my Clearcase server registry's name. So at the begin, I think, it would be better to intercept
lifecycle event of job for made the feature in a batch (like ant task). But,
finnaly, I think it would be an clearcace enhancement but I'am not sure that
          other people need this feature.

For me, you can close this issue.
          Thanks.
