I have a batch task to do a complete site deploy (to get around Issue #2373). It
normally just takes a couple minutes.

Today I set it and walked away. I came back a couple hours later and it was hung
on the Javadoc task. I was going to just kill it, but there was no little red-x
button to do so. Even stopping and restarting the server via SMF did not kill
      the job (it restarted it).

We need the ability to kill a running task.

          Hello,

Although there is no red cross within the 'Tasks' screen where you launch a batch Task, you can still go to the Jenkins Home page and see the task running as a sub-job, and from there you can click on the red cross next to the running sub-job to stop it.

So this issue is acually partially fixed, although it would be nice I suppose to also have the ability to kill the running task directly from the Tasks screen within the job.

          Regards
          Laurent
