          rtyler IMO we should discourage this; rather, all plugins should be built automatically acc. to a predefined template. Possibly we could run this, possibly some alternative (CC hrmpw).

          I don't think we should discourage this until we have another option. IMHO we're not going to find an "ideal solution" for 1000+ plugins until we start writing Jenkinsfiles and identify overlaps and refactor as we go along using features like the Global Library.
