I believe Hudson keeps this file open all the time, so you won't be able to
rename it.

If I run Hudson as windows service, are you saying that hudson.out.log is
created by windows? How can i manage the growing log file?

I guess we need some kind of log rotation service built into the service
wrapper. Can you file an issue so that we can get to it after JavaOne?
