Under some conditions clicking on activity forces a reload

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Open the Activity tab
      2. Click on Branches
      3. Open the latest result for a branch
      4. Close the result
      5. Click on Activity
      6. The page reloads

      We should never reload the page in this circumstance.
