Where we have ATM "pipeline" in the above screenshot I want to implement a dropdown navigation. IMO we first need to implement the current components via an extension point so other plugins can hook up in this extension point.

An open question is how can I tell BO that I only want to render "my" implementation of the extension point and not the one from dashboard
