Component/s: pipeline-maven-plugin
When running the following pipeline script:
node() {
  dir('source') {
       git 'https://github.com/pms1/test-maven-invoker'
      Â
       dir('root') {
           withMaven(jdk: 'java-1.8') {
               bat "mvn clean verify"
           }
       }
  }
}
I'm getting the following error:
[withMaven] Use default defined publisher for 'Concordion Publisher' [withMaven] Run 'Generated Artifacts Publisher'... ERROR: [withMaven] artifactsPublisher - WARNING: Exception archiving and fingerprinting MavenArtifact{test:project:pom:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT(version: 0.0.1-SNAPSHOT, snapshot:false) D:\temp\j-stable\home\workspace\test\source\project\pom.xml}, skip archiving of the artifacts java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot relativize 'D:\temp\j-stable\home\workspace\test\source\project\pom.xml' relatively to 'D:\temp\j-stable\home\workspace\test\source\root' at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.util.XmlUtils.getPathInWorkspace(XmlUtils.java:319) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.publishers.GeneratedArtifactsPublisher.process(GeneratedArtifactsPublisher.java:80) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.MavenSpyLogProcessor.processMavenSpyLogs(MavenSpyLogProcessor.java:114) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.WithMavenStepExecution$WorkspaceCleanupCallback.finished(WithMavenStepExecution.java:1015) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.steps.BodyExecutionCallback$TailCall.onSuccess(BodyExecutionCallback.java:114) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.cps.CpsBodyExecution$SuccessAdapter.receive(CpsBodyExecution.java:368)
The error seems to happen randomly, sometimes I get:
[withMaven] Run 'Junit Publisher'... ERROR: [withMaven] WARNING Exception executing Maven reporter 'Junit Publisher' / org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.publishers.JunitTestsPublisher. Please report a bug associated for the component 'pipeline-maven-plugin' at https://issues.jenkins-ci.org java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot relativize 'D:\temp\j-stable\home\workspace\test\source\project\target/surefire-reports' relatively to 'D:\temp\j-stable\home\workspace\test\source\root' at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.util.XmlUtils.getPathInWorkspace(XmlUtils.java:396) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.publishers.JunitTestsPublisher.executeReporter(JunitTestsPublisher.java:236) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.publishers.JunitTestsPublisher.process(JunitTestsPublisher.java:182) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.MavenSpyLogProcessor.processMavenSpyLogs(MavenSpyLogProcessor.java:114) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.pipeline.maven.WithMavenStepExecution$WorkspaceCleanupCallback.finished(WithMavenStepExecution.java:1015) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.steps.BodyExecutionCallback$TailCall.onSuccess(BodyExecutionCallback.java:114) at org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.cps.CpsBodyExecution$SuccessAdapter.receive(CpsBodyExecution.java:368)
The root project resides in a subdirectory and references a different project as a module with "../" in the path.
This has been seen on 3.3.0 and 3.3.1, don't know about earlier versions
