      I installed using* jenkins.war*
I later installed it as a service
I created a test job as freestyle project
      I clicked on RUN
The test runs in the background

Expected to simulate the browsing of a normal user, opening the browser and showing the steps that were being performed, since the test is with the selenium webdriver.

Not a defect, this is a default behavior.
You can setup the interactive mode in jenkins.xml: https://github.com/kohsuke/winsw/blob/master/doc/xmlConfigFile.md#interactive
