I noticed again the practice by Jenkins community to remove stable releases from yum and debian repository.

 

A release should be stable or not. Save / recommended to use or not.

 

If you remove stable releases this makes it harder / impossible to upgrade in a save way because Jenkins engineers will not be able to recreate a Jenkins server. For simple reason, the software is no longer available.

You force untested upgrades. Do you feel lucky today?
