After upgrading plugins, "Restarting Jenkins" hangs

    Description

      Hi.

       

      I'm running Jenkins ver. 2.129 on my Debian server. Whenever I go to https://jenkins.example.com/updateCenter/ to upgrade the plugins, and make sure I check the "Restart Jenkins when installation is complete and no jobs are running", the "Restarting Jenkins" step hangs indefinitely.

      I haven't found anything in jenkins.log that seems related to this issue.

          Hi Kenneth,

          • Does reloading the page help?
          • Are there any particular plugins you are trying to upgrade?
          • If no, would it be possible to get a threaddump from the instance so that we diagnose what happens

          Reloading the page does not help - Jenkins is still stuck trying to restart itself. This seems to happen for all plugins. I've attached a threaddump I took while Jenkins was stuck trying to reboot after upgrading a plugin.
