It would be very great to have the jenkins startup script executing optional extra scripts (eg. via run-parts) before jenkins itself starts up (eg. when extra services are needed).

That would ease configuration of derived images: no need to write an own script and adjust the entry point anymore, just place the extra scripts into some directory (eg. /etc/jenkins/startup.d/)
