Executing the following pipeline code in a sandboxed pipeline jobs results in exception:
class Foo { def propertyMissing(String name) { name } } echo new Foo().boo
Looking at the code it seems like this case simply isn't supported. I.e. the fix would be to add code in SandboxInterceptor#onGetProperty() which checks if the receiver object is a groovy object with the method propertyMissing(). Note that there are several other methods which results in similar errors.
We are willing to put in the effort to fix and implement this, however, given the security nature of this code, what is the view and requirements on community contributions to this code?
