Jenkins Job getting stuck for days

      We have created our own custom plugin that uses clearcase api provided by IBM, our jobs are getting stuck even though there is sufficient difference within polling of all jobs.

      hudson.model.AsyncPeriodicWork#doRun: Periodic background build discarder thread is still running. Execution aborted.

      This is the error observed kindly help me understand this error and how to stop my jobs from getting stuck for days.

      hudson-core version used -> 1.395
