Hello Team,

We have one windows agent configured on Jenkins master. This agent is running as a windows service. Due to some reason node is showing as offline. We are checking if there was any system outage. 

Though the agent is offline, windows service is showing as "running". We tried to restart the service but no luck on agent connectivity as it still shows offline.  Please let me know why restarting service did not connect agent to master.

As per suggestions on reconnecting agent, we can launch the jnlp or execute the agent jar using java. 

we went with first option and we launched jnlp and it connected, but wanted to know what will happen if we select run it as service" option? will it create one more jenkins agent service? Please suggest.
