Add source maps to CSS and JavaScript to webpack build

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    • Jenkins 2.239

    Description

It would be good if there were source maps included for the css and JavaScript in core so that in developer tools you can see where the css and JavaScript has came from and the source rather than the generated code

I have proposed change (https://github.com/95jonpet/jenkins/tree/JENKINS-62473) for this, but it relies on https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/pull/4747 that is due for merge within a day or two.

I will push this PR as soon as the PostCSS one is merged.

It turns out that it works well even without my pending PR.

I have thus opened a new PR for this issue: https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/pull/4753
