You have a browser tab open in the background that hasn't been reloaded since you've logged out and back in.

I recently upgraded from a much older version of Jenkins. Since then I have seen this error many times with a 'giant pop up message about the invalid crumb and lost many edits to that job. This is a real bad situation that can't be predicted. When the message pops up in the browser, the worst thing to do is refresh as that guarantees losing unsaved edits. It is better to configure the job in a separate tab to start new edits and then copy n paste or redo edits from the other tab.
I see there is a link which leads to a way to disable this. I hope that works as I can't stand losing changes.
