Steps to reproduce:

      1. Start build
      2. Visit build status page

      Expected result:

      Low CPU usage from browser

      Actual result:

      100% CPU usage

Something on the build status page, possibly the barber poll animation, uses a lot of CPU. This causes CPU fan to go into high gear.

The combination of linear gradient and animation

      Are causing tons of repaint

      Causing high CPU usage

      Jenkins 2.241

[JENKINS-63045] Build status page uses 100% CPU

Is it a report about Jenkins or about Jenkins Community infrastructure? In the first place, please submit an issue in the JENKINS project and provide enough details for triage/reproduction: https://www.jenkins.io/participate/report-issue/

Its about jenkins the build server software; Seems the default project in jira is the infrastructure project and I didn't see it was an option so it just submitted that way. I have moved the ticket to the 'JENKINS' project.

For what its worth, its also rebuilding that entire table over and over about once every two seconds even though nothing changed which causes tons of style recalc.
