Jenkins log filled with splunk parse error

      Jenkins logs are populated with Splunk warnings as shown below: 

      Splunk plugin version installed: 1.9.9
      Splunk extension plugin version installed: 1.9.9

      Seems like a response to this class: https://github.com/jenkinsci/splunk-devops-plugin/blame/master/splunk-devops-extend/src/main/java/com/splunk/splunkjenkins/console/LabelMarkupText.java

      Is this a known bug or related to our jenkins setup?
