The git build data logo is far too big in the build status page

After upgrading through each version of Jenkins to the latest LTS (2.361.1) before each upgrade all compatible plugins were upgraded, the upgrade was run and post upgrade plugin upgrades followed.

Since the upgrade to the latest LTS, the Git logo is shown far too big on the build status page:

[JENKINS-69738] The git build data logo is far too big in the build status page

I can duplicate the problem for jobs that have ownership configured.  The issue is a duplicate of JENKINS-68862. The workaround for that issue is to remove the job ownership plugin. The plugin has 3 known security vulnerabilities. It was last released two years ago and is not being actively maintained.

Another alternative would be to adopt the job ownership plugin, fix the open security issues, and resolve this issue at the same time.  See the "Improve a plugin" tutorial for a series of steps to prepare to adopt a plugin.

Remove plugins with known security issues

Running plugins with known security vulnerabilities is not recommended. You should uninstall the following plugins:

          • Build Pipeline Plugin 1.5.8
          • Job and Node ownership plugin 0.13.0
          • Extended Choice Parameter Plug-In 346.vd87693c5a_86c
          • Dynamic Extended Choice Parameter Plug-In 1.0.1
          • TestLink Plugin 3.16
          • SSH plugin 2.6.1
          • List Git Branches Parameter PlugIn 0.0.11
