Can't uninstall Oracle Java SE Development Kit Installer

    • Icon: Bug Bug

    • core, jdk-tool-plugin

Every time I uninstall the plugin, Jenkins installs it again if I reboot Jenkins.

I can uninstall the plugin on the web interface, but it comes after a reboot.

Why can't I uninstall the plugin? I didn't configure it and I don't need it.

jdk-tool was detached from Jenkins core in 2.113 in JENKINS-22367, so if you have a plugin installed whose minimum Jenkins version is earlier than 2.113, then that will result in the (bundled) jdk-tool plugin being installed automatically.

I have Jenkins 2.414.2 and it is still the same.
Something is not exactly right with this plugin, not sure why this ticket was closed actually, basil

Hi enigo, Jenkins core and the jdk-tool plugin are working as designed, which is why this ticket was closed. The reason the jdk-tool plugin is being installed automatically is because some other plugin has a minimum Jenkins core version earlier than 2.113 (which is when jdk-tool was detached from Jenkins core). So to prevent the jdk-tool plugin from being installed automatically, that other plugin needs to have its minimum Jenkins core version updated past 2.113.

is there any way to find those other offending plugins?
Coz I have like 130 or so installed on my Jenkins.

The required Jenkins version for each plugin is listed on the plugin site.
