Dropdown chevrons do not work in Chrome on CentOS Linux 7.9

    • Icon: Bug Bug

    • * Jenkins 2.375.1 and above
      * CentOS 7.9 or AWS WorkSpaces
      * Google Chrome Version 114.0.5735.106 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Linux
      * Java 11 - Temurin-11.0.16.1+1

      In Jenkins 2.375.1 and above the dropdown chevrons in the breadcrumb bar no longer work in Google Chrome (running on Linux). They are not clickable links at all for any levels of breadcrumbs. The chevrons do work in Firefox, however those have a different issue (they are transparent and difficult to read). I have attached 3 screenshots showing the behavior in 2.364.1 (on Google Chrome), the behavior in 2.407 (also on Chrome), and the behavior in 2.407 in Firefox.

          I am unable to duplicate the problem as described on Jenkins 2.401.1 (using ci.jenkins.io). I'm running Google Chrome 114.0.5735.106 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

          The image that I see is:

          Can you provide more details that might indicate what I'm doing differently that makes the chevron clickable for me?

          Thanks very much for the reply. I really wish I knew what you were doing differently I'm running CentOS 7.9, but I don't really know why that would matter. Unfortunately I'm not well versed in Web UI's - here's what a Chrome Console says about that element when I hover over it. It does not think it's a clickable link for whatever reason:

          I'm not able to replicate that issue either.

          I am experiencing the same issue on an AL2 Amazon Workspaces system.

          • Amazon Linux release 2 (Karoo)
          • Chrome: Version 115.0.5790.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)
          • Jenkins: 2.402.2 (from Docker image 2.401.2-lts)

          hovering or clicking on the down-chevron (circled) does nothing.  the only way to navigate to the management menu is from the "Manage Jenkins" link in the sidebar.
