Hi
Since 2.417, it's not possible any more for us to upgrade from 2.416.
Yum is rejecting the upgrade with the following message:
~]# yum update jenkins-2.417 Loaded plugins: priorities, update-motd, upgrade-helper amzn-main | 2.1 kB 00:00:00 amzn-updates | 3.8 kB 00:00:00 1068 packages excluded due to repository priority protections Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package jenkins.noarch 0:2.416-1.1 will be updated ---> Package jenkins.noarch 0:2.417-1.1 will be an update --> Processing Dependency: systemd for package: jenkins-2.417-1.1.noarch --> Processing Dependency: systemd for package: jenkins-2.417-1.1.noarch --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: jenkins-2.417-1.1.noarch (jenkins) Requires: systemd You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
There is the same issue with the latest version: jenkins-2.418
We are currently running 2.416
Operating System:
NAME="Amazon Linux AMI" VERSION="2018.03" ID="amzn" ID_LIKE="rhel fedora" VERSION_ID="2018.03" PRETTY_NAME="Amazon Linux AMI 2018.03" ANSI_COLOR="0;33" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:amazon:linux:2018.03:ga" HOME_URL="http://aws.amazon.com/amazon-linux-ami/" Linux live-jenkins 4.14.320-168.534.amzn1.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jul 12 20:27:41 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Is it a bug is there is no more choice now to migrate to system2 and more recent OS ?
Thanks
