We upgraded jenkins version to Jenkins 2.426.1, and also  upgraded role based access plugin to latest version. After the upgrade we are not able to assign roles to new  users. When I add the user it just gets greyed out. Attaching screenshot. The users who already have roles assigned are makred with yellow flag and follow error.

Error: Permissions would also be granted to user or group of this name.

The main issue is we are not able to add new users to assign them roles as the user gets added but then is greyed out and is not able to access jenkins.
