In a failed job the committer of the build commit isn't even mentioned in the debug output of the email-ext-plugin.

I set 'Developer', 'Upstream Commiters' and 'Culprits, Requestor and Developers of the previous build(s)' a "Send To".

I think it's a maybe a problem of the git plugin, what can I do to check this?

You can enable debug mode in the Manage Jenkins > System Configuration. This should dump out a bunch of information when the plugin is trying to send emails.

Hi slide_o_mix, thanks for your idea, but I did this already as I mentioned in the description.

If the user's email is not dumped in the debug output, then the git plugin is not returning the information in the culprits or similar so that email-ext can get it.
