      Hi,

After updating Jenkins from 2.452.3 to 2.462.1 I noticed that the bubble which shows how many plugins with newer versions are available has white text on white background. This makes it very hard to read though moving ht mouse on top of bubble does properly show the number of newer plugins version.

      Can this be fixed?

Can you provide more details about the environment where you're seeing that display? My plugins update count shows as expected on all the machines that I checked. I'm running Google Chrome 127.0.6533.100 on Windows 11. I checked the following locations:

          Jenkins weekly

          Jenkins weekly (dark theme)

          Jenkins LTS (dark theme)

I have windos 8.1 and  "Google Chrome Version 109.0.5414.168 (Official Build) (64-bit)" does not show the text properly but "Firefox 115.14.0esr (64-bit)"  on the same machine works fine.

Won't be fixed unless someone submits a low risk pull request to resolve it. The browser compatibility page says:

Jenkins web browser support falls into one of three levels:

          1. Level 1: Aim to proactively support these browsers and provide an equal UX across all.
          2. Level 2: Accept patches to fix issues and make the best effort to ensure there is at least one way to do any action.
          3. Level 3: No guarantees. We will accept patches, but only if they are low risk. This is the default unless a browser/version is listed below.

Google Chrome more than two versions older than the latest regular release/patch are level 3.

Windows 8.1 is not supported by the Jenkins project because it is no longer supported by Microsoft.
