Team, we decided to update the branch(default version) in the jenkins shared library config in manage jenkins > System page.

When we clicked on save, we got a unexpected error on screen and our existing config also is lost for the shared library

We are now unable to configure new shared library and old one is also lost.

      Attached are the error logs

[JENKINS-73596] Jenkins shared library config is breaking with GIT retrieval method

The error message that you included in the error.log has the following guidance:

The frontend sent an unexpected list of classes (["org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.libs.SCMSourceRetriever","org.jenkinsci.plugins.workflow.libs.SCMRetriever"]) rather than an expected single class. See https://www.jenkins.io/doc/developer/views/table-to-div-migration/ for more information.

The community.jenkins.io posting includes even more detailed steps that you can use to find the issues in your installation. It is likely that you have one or more plugins installed that need to either be upgraded or removed because they will interfere with other plugins when HTML forms are saved.

If you apply all the steps in that community posting and there are still errors, then you can follow the instructions in that posting for the additional information you need to attach to this issue report.
