I am experiencing an issue where the SCM configuration is not being saved correctly in Jenkins. After configuring the SCM settings, such as using Git, and saving them, I find that upon reopening the configuration, it has reverted to "None." Other configuration areas are working as expected.

Observed Behavior:

• The circular selection box for SCM automatically unchecks itself after a short period.
• I have updated the SCM-related plugins and restarted Jenkins, but the issue persists.

Jenkins Version:  2.492.1

Additional Information:

I found some old issues similar to mine that was reportedly resolved in 2020, but I am encountering a similar problem now.
