I've come across a few instances where it would be nice to be able to poll the SVN repo for a change without downloading the code.

One example is where a task (or remote call to a second job) within a job handles it's own SVN calls. The encompassing job wants to kick itself off whenever SVN changes but there is no need to pull down it's own copy of code.
