It would be nice to be able to configure various paths (e.g. Ant, JDK...) per
slave. There is no problem (usually) with apps like Ant - you can unzip it to
whatever folder - but for some tools it can problematic (e.g. msbuild). There
is also a bit ambiguity about the path translation between linux/solaris and
windows boxes. I have found that a path like '/opt/ant' will be converted to
'c:\opt\ant' on a windows slave but sometimes it is better to set it explicity.

Plugins should be able to contribute settings to slave configuration.

By default a slave node should inherit the master configuration.
