The counts of issues, between the integrated Violations plugin, and the separate stand alone ones are different. Upon investigation, the stand alone ones where found to be wrong, in the example, show in the attached image, the PMD one is wrong. It should be 2402, as correctly shown in the violations plugin. The FindBugs figures are the same. However, the CheckStyle ones are much further out of alignment. (Again, the violations plugin is showing the correct figure).

I understand the simple out by one errors.

But how can we have a difference of 25?

These are being run under Jenkins 1.427, PMD 3.22, FidnBugs 4.30, CheckStyle 3.21, Violations 0.7.10 and the Statis Analysis Utilities 1.32.

Please attach the corresponding XML result files from the analysis tools. Otherwise it's hard to see what's wrong.

Have a look at the image! Both the standalone separate plugins, and the violations plugin read the same files, and yet they are reporting different figures.

When I looked that actual xml files, the figures stated by the violations plugin were correct. The standalone ones were not.

I'd have thought this one would have been particularly easy to track down.

I shall see if I can find a good example, and supply the matching screen shots, and data files.

Well, it is not that easy I need to look at the files in order to see why the number of warnings is not correct.

Please reopen if you have an example report.
