While talking to tfennelly about this seemingly unnecessary line wrap, he made a comment that the full date format currently used is often too verbose. His suggestion was to use a date divider in the history, like this:

      --- Oct 30, 2014 -------
      #7526 13:56 .......
      #7525 13:40 .......
      #7524 13:20 .......

Some jobs are triggered multiple times a day, while other jobs are triggered once in a quarter. The improvement would have to cover such a wide range.

BTW, my original comment was just to avoid line wrapping. Screenshot attached.

Doing a no-wrap and overflow can also make it look terrible.

Hi, what now if I am not happy with this new feature. And there is more who are not happy with this new look anymore. There is already issue created JENKINS-26406.

The problem is that HTML is not supported in build history description anymore. See issue JENKINS-26406 for more information

Downgrade and live with the problems this fixed, tolerate it and wait for a fix, or fix it yourself and submit a PR.
