Hi
So I'm trying to get Gradle up and running, but I can not choose a version when selecting install automatically.
I have tried installing manually and setting the Gradle home, and although it works through the command line, Jenkins fails to find the executable.

First of all, Gradle home should set to /var/lib/gradle instead of /var/lib/gradle/bin in your case.
And I am wondering that have you specify a gradle version for auto installation?
It seems that the field is blank in your screen shot.
For me , I think this case is just an incorrect configuration of Gradle plugin.

added a comment - The whole issue is around the auto installation, if I choose install from gradle Jenkins doesn't provide me with a drop down box any more only text box.
For the manual installation I used /var/lib/gradle/bin and it added an extra /bin to the end
I tried /var/lib/gradle/ and it worked perfectly, so no it isnt an incorrect configuration; there is an issue with the plugin/Jenkins or it is being blocked.
What port does Jenkins use to communicate with Gradle.org.

Jenkins providing a text box instead of the drop down box seem related to https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-32886.
How long before this gets looked at?
