      Hello Jenkins community,

I am currently working on hardening some Jenkins configuration and I use Folder plugin and Matrix Auth plugin for that. I think I have a nice behavior now but I wonder if an additional improvement could be done in order to have stronger security.

My use case is that I need to let some users the configure permission for some project and in that case they can add additional permission since they have access to the option Enable security-based project.

I think it could be very nice if it would be possible to let my users the configure right but without the possibility to override permission on the job level. So my idea would be to have a new permission type called Permission on job level and folder level for doing that.

What do you think about such a a feature ?

      Thanks !

Please search existing issues before filing a new one. There's just 10 open issues in this plugin, so doing this isn't a major time sink.

danielbeck : Sorry about that. I did a search about permissions word in the JIRA database instead of looking for the component. Sorry for the noise
