Job credentials do not match any results outside of System context

    • 2.1.3

We have been testing the plug-in for couple of weeks now and we found out that Bitbucket Server Integration plug-in does not work well with "Folder Plug-in" - specifically, when I configure Jenkins to use Folder Credential Provider only, "Add" button to select the credentials while configuring a job is "greyed out".

[JENKINS-63009] Job credentials do not match any results outside of System context

Here is some graphical evidence. Comparison between using the  git plugin and Bitbucket integration plugin with completely same configuration with latest upgrades. It is not possible to use folder level credentials when using Bitbucket plugin (only global Jenkins credentials provider). In case you have many projects split into many teams this is mandatory to restrict user from accessing global credentials.

Hi khughes I added few other links for issues, as I think they are closely related.

          Hey,
We have released a fix for this issue- the fix covers folder-level credentials. Please feel free to reopen the ticket with updated information if the issue reoccurs. Thank you!

          Hi Martin,

we are still facing the same issue. There is no option to choose Folder level credentials (existing and also new). Git plugin and other SCM plugins allows that as shown in previously attached pictures..

          Hi Miroslav,
Thanks for the update. I am able to create folder-level credentials and select them in my job, so I think there must be a difference in how they are being set up. Can you please show step-by-step how you create your folder credentials, and where you are creating the pipeline job? Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
          Thanks,
          Martin

          Hi Miroslav,
I haven't heard an update on this ticket, and remain unable to reproduce this issue locally with 2.1.3. As such, I'm closing the ticket. If you continue to experience this problem, can you please share step-by-step replication instructions and log entries if any are appearing.
          Thanks,
          Martin

          Hey Martin,

I've been working on testing the integration between Jenkins and Bitbucket since the Bitbucket Server 7.4 release where the Builds page was introduced. I'm running Jenkins 2.222.4 with Bitbucket Server Integration at 2.1.3, and I'm seeing the same issue as above: unable to select folder level credentials when configuring the source code management for Bitbucket Server. The dropdown for credentials is only populated with the global or system store credentials, and none from our folder level credentials.

Typically when we create credentials (HTTPS/SSH/or otherwise), we have navigated to the folder -> Credentials -> Stores Scoped to the folder -> Global credentials (unrestricted) and configured them here. Additionally, next to the dropdown in the configuration, the "Add" credential only lets me target Global or System level credentials, and not the folder level.

Referencing the original reporter's screenshots, I'm seeing the exact same as bitbucket plugin.png
