Logstash plugin sending fragmented UDP packets to syslog

      After configuring the Logstash plugin to send Syslog packets to our log producer, packets were getting dropped due to being fragmented. The packets were 1516 bytes when the interface mtu was 1500. I increased the interface mtu to 1800, however the packets being sent were then 1812 bytes. Could the Logstash plugin be updated to not send fragmented Syslog packets?
