New login page animation uses lots of CPU

      CPU usage jumps from practically nothing to ~40% in Chrome, ~65% in Firefox when navigating to https://weekly.ci.jenkins.io/login

      For comparison, showing https://ci.jenkins.io/ with ~20 builds running in the executors widget uses about 15% CPU in Firefox.

      This seems like a disproportionate waste of energy/battery for very little actual benefit.
