The git client plugin 6.3.1 release created an incompatibility in the changelog implementation. It reports merges as part of the changelog when using the command line git implementation.

It does not report merges as part of the changelog when using the JGit implementation.

Versions prior to git client plugin 6.3.1 did not report merges as part of the changelog for either command line git or JGit.
