After hitting the GItHub rate limit with this plugin (10 min polling, ~30 repos, 100 branches, the user is only used for this plugin), we asked GitHub to increase our request allowance. They turned us down but gave us some interesting statistics. 40% of requests are going to the "/" or "/user" endpoint in the API. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the number of requests to these given that they seldom change?
